Chartering in the BVI – Day 1

This is the first day of our sailing trip to the BVI. Tim Taylor, who has been very involved in Nautical Monkey called me on Saturday (4 days before the trip) to ask if I’d be interested in doing some sailing on the Caribbean.

After rescheduling some client meetings, sales calls and a trade show, I was in! Got my flights booked and headed to San Juan, PR on Thursday. The next day a very small plane to Beef Island where I picked up a ferry to Scrub Island and the dock where our boat was located.

The boat was a Bali 4.3 – a fine boat for charter – but not one I would purchase.
